Over the years I've collected a healthy amount of records. Some have never been played, and many have only seen the needle once or twice. My goal is to play every record I have, giving them life again at least once. To make it easier on me, it will be done alphabetically by format then genre... Yes I have OCD with my records and they are genretized and then in alphabetical order.
If you are in a band or have a record label, I will gladly listen to any record sent to me and write about it on here. Send me a PM if you are interested.
Ceremony is strange, I like them, but then I don’t. I feel like if I saw them, I’d be into it. They Remind me of Colin of Arabia, in the sense that it really isn’t that good, but I like it, and I love seeing COA live. I guess people love Ceremony for the same reasons that I love Colin of Arabia.
Aviator - Head In The Clouds, Hands In The Dirt 12”
This album was stellar. All the things I love best about bands like mewithoutyou, La Dispute and post hardcore in general are featured in this album. Do yourself a favor and pick a copy up before it is too late.
Mail day! Technically the vinyl release isn’t a B9 release, it is Think Fast!, but the album itself is B9. I do own the CD too, I pre-ordered it, and it came with a t-shirt that I sold a while ago. So when I listen to this, I will include a pic of the CD, just to verify for my B9 collection.
Uh… do you see that line up? Solid as fuck. You can pick this up on RevHQ on CD for a buck. It doesn’t make sense to not add it to your next order. This is a CD that is worth just leaving in your car because its going to be that good.
I don’t really know how you follow up The Things We Carry… This album is great in its own right, but if you put the two albums next to each other… Well…. You know. Still, this album is absolutely worth owning and listening to over and over.
Lets talk about one of the best hardcore albums of our generation. There aren’t many albums that make me clutch my fists and hit my chest while just listening to them. This is one of those few albums that will send chills down your spine. I could go on praising this album for days but we all know what it is and what it meant/means. If you know someone that hasn’t heard this album, first ask them how the bottom of their rock is treating them, then do them a favor and give them a copy.
