Over the years I've collected a healthy amount of records. Some have never been played, and many have only seen the needle once or twice. My goal is to play every record I have, giving them life again at least once. To make it easier on me, it will be done alphabetically by format then genre... Yes I have OCD with my records and they are genretized and then in alphabetical order.
If you are in a band or have a record label, I will gladly listen to any record sent to me and write about it on here. Send me a PM if you are interested.
American Nightmare (Give Up The Ghost) - Love American 7” picture disc
Love this band. Can’t get enough. If anyone has a copy of the double 7” of Year One and want to let it go for a reasonable price, let me know. I’m not interested in the repress 12”. I used to have the double 7, but must have sold it to pay rent at some point.
I’ve never really gotten into these guys. Pretty much all of my friends that listen to hardcore swear by them… I guess they just aren’t my thing. I’ve seen them live enough times… I just don’t get why everyone loves them.
These dudes played the first hardcore show I went to. Good Riddance, Bane, Strike Anywhere and Panic. I was into the album they had out at the time. It really shouldn’t have been as much of a surprise to me when they put out an album on B9, but by then I was over them. This 7” makes me regret that decision. This is a great few tracks. I’m going to assume the full length is worth a listen.
This band is worth keeping an eye on. They are fast, and passionate hardcore done the right way. These are hardcore dudes, making hardcore for hardcore dudes that enjoy the good old days (of hardcore). HAHDCOAH FROM BAHSTAN! FFO: Panic, Paint It Black, Floorpunch
Living Saints was the song that got me into this band. I was at my friends house looking through his records and came across this. I told him he should sell it to me for my B9 collection and he told me to just take it. I’m not one to look a gift horse (drunk friend) in the mouth and reject their offer. I owe him a random 7” in return next time he comes over.
I love these covers, but I do have beef with them. If you are going to cover songs that inspired you, don’t cover the ones that you blatantly ripped off. There is a difference between getting inspiration from and just stealing a hook. Fashion Before Passion straight up ripped off Safe.
