Over the years I've collected a healthy amount of records. Some have never been played, and many have only seen the needle once or twice. My goal is to play every record I have, giving them life again at least once. To make it easier on me, it will be done alphabetically by format then genre... Yes I have OCD with my records and they are genretized and then in alphabetical order.
If you are in a band or have a record label, I will gladly listen to any record sent to me and write about it on here. Send me a PM if you are interested.
I don’t really know how you follow up The Things We Carry… This album is great in its own right, but if you put the two albums next to each other… Well…. You know. Still, this album is absolutely worth owning and listening to over and over.
Lets talk about one of the best hardcore albums of our generation. There aren’t many albums that make me clutch my fists and hit my chest while just listening to them. This is one of those few albums that will send chills down your spine. I could go on praising this album for days but we all know what it is and what it meant/means. If you know someone that hasn’t heard this album, first ask them how the bottom of their rock is treating them, then do them a favor and give them a copy.
The Distance/ Some Kind Of Hate / Outbreak split 7”
Three under rated bands throwing down 2 songs each. Fuck, I don’t know how Outbreak was the only band on this 7” to really do anything. This 7” is so good. I actually liked the Some Kind Of Hate songs.
I really dug this album. It just sucks for them that The Things We Carry came out at the same time as it. It must have been hard to compete with that giant of an album. This is absolutely a hardcore album worth checking out though for all of you who didn’t know it existed.
After hearing the Have Heart live album I’ve been real skeptical about live hardcore records. This one does not disappoint. The Suicide File track leaves a little to be desired, but its still good. These are still available via the B9 store, so pick one up while they are still there. http://www.bridge9.com/disco/379
I said I was going to get the full length, and I followed through. This band fucking crushes. This is the metal album that I would expect B9 to put out. I’m actually surprised that Deathwish didn’t put it out.
American Nightmare (Give Up The Ghost) - Love American 7” picture disc
Love this band. Can’t get enough. If anyone has a copy of the double 7” of Year One and want to let it go for a reasonable price, let me know. I’m not interested in the repress 12”. I used to have the double 7, but must have sold it to pay rent at some point.
